​The Forbes AAC Loan Library is designed exclusively for clinicians to request AAC devices and accessories for in-clinic use or end user trials. Whether you're evaluating a single client or working with multiple individuals across your caseload, our streamlined process makes it easy to access the right equipment quickly and reliably. From short-term device loans for assessment to initiating trials as part of the funding process, we’re here to support your clinical needs every step of the way.

Loans for Clinicians

Clinicians can request devices for AAC evaluations, demonstrations, or team planning through our Loan Library Webstore.

What you can request:

• ProSlate® and WinSlate® devices

• Access methods (e.g., eye gaze, switches)

• Accessories (e.g., mounts, keyguards)

 

Loan Terms:

• Standard loan period: up to 4 weeks

• Longer-term device placements are available upon coordination with your local Assistive Technology Specialist, you can find your local ATS here.

• All requests are first-come, first-served and subject to product availability

• Clinicians are personally responsible for all equipment checked out under their account

Request a Trial Device for an End User

Forbes AAC provides trial devices who have certain requirements from their funding provider. These trials are initiated by licensed clinicians and provided to the client’s family after insurance coverage is verified.

 

Here’s how it works:

1. Submit a Benefits Check
   Start by submitting a Benefits Check Form, available in our Funding Portal. If you don’t yet have access, you can register for the portal at any time to get started.

2. Receive a Benefits Check Approval Code
   Once coverage is confirmed, you’ll receive a Benefits Check approval code. This code allows you to request a trial device directly through our online Loan Library Webstore.

3. Visit the webstore to select your Trial Device
   Visit the webstore, choose the appropriate trial equipment, and enter your approval code at checkout to complete the request.

 

Note: Trial devices are only available for end users when a clinician is initiating the process on their behalf.
